Across the 8 VPP battery lists we track, checked between 28 and 29 September 2026, 19 battery brands appear at least once. The most widely listed are AlphaESS (6 lists), Sigenergy (6) and Tesla (5). Origin Loop publishes its list on the operator's own site.
Battery brand by program
"Listed" means the operator names the brand on its page; "Beta" means it lists the brand as beta or trial
support. A dash means the brand isn't on that program's list. Program names link to the full terms.
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate requires your battery to be VPP-capable, whether or not you join a
VPP. If you already know which program you want, tell your installer so the battery and inverter match
that operator's list. Our 30-second check shows your rebate and puts you in touch with a CEC-accredited
installer.
