Tesla Energy Plan

Closed to new customers. Tesla's VPP for Powerwall owners, delivered with retailer Energy Locals. Tesla says the plan is no longer accepting new customers; existing customers stay on it. The terms below are what Tesla publishes for existing customers.

As at 29 September 2026, Tesla Energy Plan pays existing customers: Grid Support Credits: Per Powerwall, calculated daily and credited on your monthly bill; Extended warranty: 5 extra years, on a new Powerwall 2 while you stay on the plan. How it uses your battery: Minimum 20% backup reserve during a grid outage. Limited to 50 discharge cycles a year (each cycle is 13.5 kWh), from 8 August 2024 on the Ausgrid network.
