Synergy DEBS rates
DEBS is a time-of-export rate: what you're paid depends on when the solar leaves your meter. Synergy publishes one set of DEBS rates for eligible customers.
| When you export | Rate | Daily limit |
|---|---|---|
| 3pm–9pm (peak) | 10c/kWh | First 50 kWh exported each day |
| All other times (off-peak) | 2c/kWh |

Offers with conditions
Synergy's DEBS page publishes one set of rates for eligible customers, with no member, battery or sales-channel versions. Battery owners can also join a battery program, which pays separately from DEBS (below).
Time-varying options
DEBS is itself time-varying: 10c/kWh from 3pm to 9pm against 2c/kWh at other times, a ratio of 5 to 1.
Synergy's VPP and battery programs
Synergy Battery Rewards
Synergy's VPP in WA: during activation events your battery exports automatically and Synergy pays 70c for every kWh it sends to the grid. It's currently only for customers installing a battery through the WA Residential Battery Scheme.
Solar Sharer
The AER plan data doesn't cover WA, so it lists no Synergy Solar Sharer plans. The Solar Sharer plans in the data are in NSW, QLD and SA; see our Solar Sharer page for how the offer works.
Rate history
Synergy isn't a Consumer Data Right data holder, so it isn't in our snapshots of the AER plan data and there's no recorded history to show. We re-check the DEBS page by hand; the date at the top of this page is the last check.
What an export is worth
A kWh exported between 3pm and 9pm earns 10c; the same kWh exported at midday earns 2c, and only the first 50 kWh a day earn either rate. Each kWh of solar you use yourself instead saves a kWh at your usage rate. Our savings calculator estimates both for your postcode, and a home battery can hold midday solar for the evening window or your own evening use.
Common questions
What is Synergy's solar feed-in tariff?
As at 29 September 2026, Synergy's solar feed-in tariff is set by WA's Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme (DEBS): 10c/kWh for exports between 3pm and 9pm, and 2c/kWh at other times, on the first 50 kWh you export each day. Synergy isn't in the AER plan data, so these rates come from Synergy's own DEBS page.
When is the DEBS peak window?
From 3pm to 9pm. Exports in that window earn 10c/kWh; exports at any other time earn 2c/kWh, so a kWh exported in the peak window is worth 5 times one exported at midday.
Is there a daily limit on DEBS payments?
Yes. The DEBS rates apply to the first 50 kWh you export each day, across both windows.
Who can get the DEBS rates?
Grid-connected residential customers on Synergy or Horizon networks. Check the details and any meter requirement on Synergy's DEBS page.
Does Synergy have a VPP or battery program?
Synergy Battery Rewards (battery vpp, open to new customers): Synergy's VPP in WA: during activation events your battery exports automatically and Synergy pays 70c for every kWh it sends to the grid. It's currently only for customers installing a battery through the WA Residential Battery Scheme.
Why isn't Synergy in the AER plan data?
The AER's Consumer Data Right plan data covers NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, ACT, TAS. WA and NT retailers are not CDR data holders. So Synergy's rates on this page come from its own DEBS page, and we re-check them by hand.
