The 2026 reality

Why exporting your solar no longer pays

Feed-in tariffs have collapsed. The money is now in using your own power, not selling it back, and that is exactly what a battery does.

2–9c
per kWh is all you are paid to export solar now
30–50c+
per kWh you pay to buy that power back at night
5–8×
more value from using your own power than exporting it
The battery boom, street by street

Questions, answered honestly

Is the quote really free and no-obligation?

Yes. Checking your savings and getting a quote is free, and you are never locked in. We are paid by the installer only if you go ahead with a quote you are genuinely happy with.

Do you really not need to visit my home?

Correct. Your latest bill plus a photo of your switchboard (and ideally your roof) gives our team what they need to prepare an exact, fixed-price quote remotely. No site visit, no rep in your living room. You can still request a visit if you prefer.

How accurate is the on-screen estimate?

It is an indicative range based on your bill size, state and daytime usage, not a binding quote. Your exact figures come once a specialist reviews your bill and switchboard.

How much is a battery after the rebate?

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program is worth about $271 per usable kWh gross at the current STC price (typically $244–$252/kWh after installer fees), about $3,631 on a 13.5 kWh battery. Some states add more on top. Your exact net price depends on the battery and your state, and is confirmed in your quote.

I already have solar, can I just add a battery?

Yes. Adding a battery to existing solar is one of the best-value upgrades right now: it lets you use the power you are currently exporting for a few cents instead of buying it back at peak rates.

Which battery brands do you install?

Only CEC-accredited installers fitting quality, in-warranty battery brands. Common options include Tesla Powerwall, Sungrow, BYD and GoodWe, and your specialist will recommend the best fit for your home.

Is my data and my bill safe?

Yes. Your details and documents are used only to prepare your quote and are never sold. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
